Lawyers are just some of the busy professionals now fully utilizing laptops in their daily work. The portability aspect alone is a major factor that lets them do their tasks even while out of the office.

The keyboard is comfortable to use, has long battery life up to 7 hours and more importantly, it has great speed owing to its Core i7 CPU.

Apple MacBook Air

Attorneys not particular about the price and who want a smaller and lighter laptop to use should get the Apple MacBook Air. Based on a battery test done by Laptop Mag, the battery lasted more than 12 hours.

Legal professionals only need a few technology to be able to perform their duties and one of the most important is the laptop. A white paper entitled Practice Innovations by lawyer Conrad Jacoby noted that a decade ago, attorneys were urged to invest heavily on technology or face issues in their profession such as inefficiency, lower revenue and profits and fewer clients who prefer the more tech-savvy lawyers.

The same report pointed out that every lawyer regardless of specialization whether a personal injury lawyer, family lawyer or Pasadena divorce lawyer need a laptop computer today more than a desktop. It has to be a powerful laptop that will allow the legal counsel to perform his tasks efficiently on a daily basis.

The greatest advantage of having a laptop, according to Jacoby, is it allows any lawyer to set up office whether at home, on the road, at coffee shops or practically in any location. Additionally, attorneys are also able to serve their clients even beyond the regular office or business hours.

The white paper further noted that lawyers have different needs when it comes to the kind of laptop to use. Those who frequently travel would normally prefer smaller and lighter computers while those who travel less may go for the bulkier laptop with larger screens and more comfortable keyboard. Other important considerations are the battery life and the screen resolution. As lawyers often need to read information whether on documents or websites, they need a device with high resolution screen and large display.

It is essential then for any lawyer to know his or her needs to be able to purchase the most appropriate laptop that can be used for the long term.
