ASUS denies plans to phase out smaller Eee PCs

November 10, 2008 By Ade Magnaye

A few days ago, it was reported that ASUS will begin phasing out their 7 to 8-inch Eee PCs to make the 10-inch Eees the standard. Apparently, ASUS CEO Jerry Shen was misquoted.

According to ZDNet,

a spokesperson for Asus told ZDNet UK that the Taiwanese firm would continue to bring out seven- and 8.9-inch Eee PC models. The spokesperson added that netbooks of these sizes were due a “refreshment on the specifications”, suggesting that new versions of these models could be on the way.

Well, if that’s the case, then we’re looking forward to it.
