Leandro,

No, you won't see anything greater than 1,33 Ghz in your BIOS or Windows system information. You'll need the EEE Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) software. If you right click the SHE icon in your tray, select Super Performance mode. This will enable the higher clock speed.

I found this out by using CPU-Z (just google that ;-)), which shows your current clock speed. Mine varies between 600 and 1700 Mhz now. :)

I installed 2MB ram (kingston) on my eee pc1101HA and then through the update utility I made a backup of the existing bios (0204) and then I reinstall the backup ROM file. After the installation, I had the option to overclock the processor and I did it (from 10% to 30%).
After restarting win XP pro and shutting it down the option was gone.
I repeated the above process, reinstalling bios, and at the overclocking option the value was kept at 30%.
After restart and shut down the option was also gone.
The computer seems to work faster though!!

Hey people…!
After configured the overclok in my 1101ha, incresing 30%, where can I see the new speed of the Processor? Looking in BIOS and in Windows system information, I can see the same speed before (1,33Mhz). Should I see something great than 1.33Mhhz?
Does anyone do that and see diferent processor speed?
I don't know if the overclock is working or not...

Thanks,
Leandro

Have there been any further updates to this issue? Asus support here in Australia said that any RAM as long as the speed is 667 will do. Quite cleary this is not the case because I purchased this and the overclocking disappeared. Do you know how hard it is to get this RAM in Australia? Asus, please do something about this problem!
Cheers Steve

I am looking for a Netbook with 10” to 12” screen, 2.2 to about 3.5 lbs, 2GB 1.6 Ghz DDR2 or faster Duo Core RAM, good graphics card, with 500GB 7,200 rpm drive, wireless b/g/N, Bluetooth V2.1, card reader, XP Pro, RJ45 LAN, VGA and HDMI ports, Microphone/Headphones/speakers/line-out, (2 to 3) USB 2.0 connectors, etc. Battery life should be minimum 7 to 9 hrs. Dual layer DVD would be nice, but external would be fine - all of which are available on certain ASUS Netbooks (1101HA, U6Vc, N10Jh, and Lamborghini VX3).

Does anyone recommend the any netbooks with above options. I think only ASUS has them, but then I read this blog about upgrading to 2Gb RAM not being a good idea. Where is the cheapest place to buy? I found a company on Ebay, but they dont return questions, nor phone calls.

thanks,
Scott

Hi there, let me understand...
I tried to install 2Gb of memory but I have the issue with the overclocking function on the bios, should it come back if I reload the bios?
Thank you
