I'd got to provide blessing with you here. that isn't one thing I sometimes do! I relish reading a post that will make people think. Also, thanks for permitting me to talk my mind!

After buying a 4 gig HDSD for $19, I installed release 3 on a 2G. I wiped the original drive and split the file system up as follows. 512 Meg on the built in drive for swap space. The remainder of the built in drive for the root directory. The 4 gig HDSD is dedicated to /usr.

Mine is essentially a stock eeexubuntu setup with the tweaks to minimize hard drive writes. I cannot foresee having any hard drive space issues. I've still got 65% of both drives free after installing Java and the remaining medibuntu files.

Since I have been using Linux exclusively since 1995, I have only one windows program that I use. Its an Amateur radio, voice over IP, radio link program called Echolink and there are no serious linux options. It runs perfectly under eeexubuntu with Wine.

This is one serious communication device after installing eeexubuntu. Now its time to see what kind of deviltry I can get into with Ckermit on the 2G.

Congratulations... eeeXubuntu is great. You won't regret installing it. I have tried it and it's close to perfect. Hindi mahirap gamitin... Do you already have compiz? It just added coolness but eats a lot of resources. Not bad to install though. I am configuring it on my Ubuntu Eee now. ;)
