[...] On one of my previous posts, I have been raving about the ASUS EeePC 900, the next model (or “generation”, as ASUS’ advertising says) of ASUS’ EeePC line, complete with 8.9″ screen with a 1024×600 resolution, 12Gb storage memory, a larger trackpad, and 1Gb RAM. It was supposed to go for $600, or in our currency (Philippine Pesos), around Php 25,000. [...]

$600?! you have got to be kidding me. The Eee PC is good because it's dirt cheap, but for $600 I can get a real laptop with quite a bit more horsepower than this. The Eee isn't so portable for the size difference to be a big concern when the price is the same. Asus, bring the price down to $400 and cut the price of the 701. Don't be stupid.

riiiight, just when Blackeee celebrated his second "monthsary", this development came out :( I think I'll be sticking with my 701, though, as I don't think I can afford to upgrade to this bigger sibling.

It surely is great. But am I excited? with another Asus eee? Hmmmm, I'm sorry but I don't have that luxury as I'm bound to scarce resources. :D
